Trading and Fees
Trading is how you build and adjust your squad. You sign shares in players you think will perform and release shares to free up Gold and rebalance.
Current fee rates are in CONSTANTS.md. Fees are DB-managed and can change without a code release.
In the app
Navigation guide coming soon. This section will show you exactly where to find this in the app.
TL;DR
- Sign fee: 3%
- Release fee: 3%
- Swap: 5% total (3% Release side + 2% Sign side). Cheaper than releasing and signing separately.
- Dynamic fees activate automatically when prices drop sharply or a release is very large
- Timing matters. Signing after a player's snapshot does not count for that tournament.
Standard fees
Every trade has a fee taken from the Gold involved.
| Action | Fee |
|---|---|
| Sign | 3% |
| Release | 3% |
| Swap (Release side) | 3% |
| Swap (Sign side) | 2% |
If you are moving from one player to another, use the swap feature. It costs 5% total versus 6% if you release and sign separately.
Dynamic fees
Dynamic fees activate automatically in two situations. They are designed to protect against sudden price crashes.
Price-based surge fees. When a player's price drops sharply in a short window, the release fee increases and stays elevated for a minimum period. The app shows the current fee before you confirm. See the sport-specific trading pages for current tier tables.
Volume-based fee. If your release exceeds 5% of the player's marketplace pool reserves in one transaction, a 25% fee applies. The marketplace pool is the Gold and shares the player's market currently holds. The app warns you before you confirm. Releasing in smaller amounts avoids this fee.
Slippage
Slippage happens when the price moves between when you start a trade and when it confirms, because other trades are happening at the same time.
The default slippage tolerance is 5%. If the price moves beyond your tolerance before the trade confirms, the trade is cancelled and your Gold is returned.
